Malaysia Public Transport Schedule

Statement by RapidKL:

KUALA LUMPUR, 23 March – Taking cue from the Government’s fresh ruling on the on-going Movement Control Order (MCO), Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) – operator of the urban rail services and key stage bus services – will be implementing limited services for its public transport services effective WEDNESDAY (25 March 2020).
In a statement issued today, Prasarana said the limited services will NOT commence tomorrow to give ample notice for commuters, who are required to work being in the Essential Services, in making their travel plans.

Effective WEDNESDAY, all Rapid KL train services covering the LRT, MRT and monorail services will be operating only from 6.00am to 10.00am before stopping, and convening back from 5.00pm to 10.00pm under the following schedule.

Monday to Friday:
• 6.00am – 7.00am : 30-minute frequency
• 7.00am – 9.00am : 10-minute frequency (peak hours)
• 9.00am – 10.00am : 30-minute frequency
• 5.00pm – 7.00pm : 10-minute frequency (peak hours)
• 7.00pm – 10.00pm : 30-minute frequency

Saturday, Sunday and public holidays:
• 6.00am – 10.00am : 30-minute frequency
• 5.00pm – 10.00pm : 30-minute frequency

“There will be no service in between 10.00am to 5.00pm. The last train will end its service at 10.00pm, and all stations will be closed accordingly,” the statement added.

Beginning Wednesday, all stage buses – Rapid KL, Rapid Penang, Rapid Kuantan and Rapid Kamunting will also be operating only from 6.00am to 10.00am before stopping, and convening back from 5.00pm to 10.00pm.

“For current bus locations customers may refer to while Rapid Penang customers can download the Rapid Penang Journey Planner app from Google Play. They may also call our helpline team for assistance,” the statement added.

Feri Pulau Pinang, which is run by Rapid Ferry, will be operating a single ferry every hour between 6.00am and 10.00am; and between 5.00pm and 10.00pm; beginning WEDNESDAY.

Prasarana strongly advises members of the public i.e. those under Essential Services and requiring to work and need to use these services to plan their journey well or seek alternative transport. Others should just follow strictly the Government’s order to stay at home.
